Love the fact that it rolls in any direction and is pretty easy to move esp is you get down and push on the base (not on the mast pole of the umbrella). It weights a lot with the sand base.(250# of sand and water + about 100 # of metal) Only difficult part ( and frankly it wasnt' that tough) is making sure you wet the sand and pack it into the corners with your fingers so you get the full 60# in each of the four weight modules. When the locking device kicks in it really stays put but is easy to change back to rolling mode.

It’s extremely heavy once loaded with sand or water, but it keeps the umbrella in place. The locking mechanism and foot pedal are easy to use. Unloaded, the base is quite heavy so it took two strong people to move to the back yard since we got curbside delivery. Having a dolly helped.

We should have purchased one of these years ago. It's very sturdy and provides ample shade. We purchased the 'rolling' base, which allows us to move the umbrella easily. Highly recommended!
