Also, I note that this extender pole is longer by several inches than the pole that comes with the umbrella. anyway, When I tried to use this longer pole instead of the one that came with the umbrella,, it was impossible to reach the pushbutton because it was too high out of reach. So -- in sum -- the pole is great but totally unnecessary for for average home user.
