With the added weight, my umbrella is more secure as we live on the water and it can get quite windy with little notice. 50lbs was not enough and I did not want to spend an extra $100 for the 100lb base.

Ashland, MA8-18-2017I ordered both the Treasure Garden 50 lb umbrella base and the 30 lb add-on weight. When the items were delivered, the boxes were badly beaten up, with the base actually hanging out of the bottom of the box on my driveway. I was worried that the items had been damaged, but when I took them out of the packaging they were fine. The products are very sturdy and keep my 9' umbrella from moving/falling. Time will tell how well they hold up and if they rust, but for now they look and work great!

This additional 30 pound weight was shipped quickly and easily screwed into the existing bottom base. The addition made a noticeable difference as the umbrella is much more resistant to tipping now. Well worth it!
