Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.

3.0 out of 5.0 Great Shelf, Great Price, Awful Delivery Experience Mel from Draper, UT 11-16-2019 We needed a large shelf to go against a large 2-story wall in our family room. This shelf is tall, deep, wide, and very sturdy—just what we were looking for. LuxeDecor offered a great price. Unfortunately, the delivery company, Sun Deliveries, offered a very poor customer and delivery experience. The delivery took 3 weeks longer than it should have. The bill of lading was missing our contact information, and we had to reach out to Sun to figure out where the shelf was—they never reached out to Luxe to get our info. Who knows how long the delivery would have taken if we wouldn’t have reached out! We were also pushed around on the delivery date and time. Sun told us that it was our issue why we missed the delivery dates—couldn’t they have called Luxe and got our contact info? Once the shelf arrived, they assembled the shelf in our driveway. As noted, the shelf is tall. It was only when they tried to bring the shelf into the house that it wouldn’t fit! They then disassembled the shelf and told us they couldn’t figure out how to get it into our home and they wanted to leave the disassembled shelf in our garage for me to figure out. My wife told them they needed to figure it out—which they did after over 3 hours. This was a very easy delivery/assembly—if they planned ahead and looked at the dimensions of the shelf and the door. In the end, the self looks great and is incredibly sturdy. We are very happy with the shelf, but the delivery had much to be desired.

Beautifully made and able to hold books and other decorative items. Weighs about 300 pounds and will definitely not bow with weight on the shelves.
