I wish the small reference to other materials "options on request" made it clear in fact there are canopy materials with significantly different functionality. I wish i had known that ahead of time as I really wanted greater rain resistancy dinning out in COVID times. There is in fact a waterproof option from the manufacturer. I will buy a waterproofing spray to add myself.
