I wanted a quality product that would stand up to the Oklahoma weather conditions. I love the fact that they are cast aluminum and they swivel and the foot rail and fit so wonderful with the island. They are comfortable (without a cushion) and they look very nice. These bar stools were packed fairly well and they are pricey so I didn't expect them to be delivered with dents or scratches in the finish or a mis-shapened leg. I realize they can be re-painted but still this purchase was over $1300! I shouldn't have to think about that when they are brand new!
