This bed is so beautiful, and it was surprisingly easy to assemble once I figured out what I was doing. A couple of tips for other buyers: this bed requires a box spring, and I highly suggest getting a 7-8 inch box spring if you have a thicker mattress. For reference, I have a Novaform 14” and I purchased a collapsible 7 inch spring. My bed sits about 1 inch below the foot board and I don’t have to jump up to get into it. Make sure your hallway and door frame will accommodate the size of the head board. I purchased a king size and I was pretty scared it wouldn’t fit up the stairs and maneuver through the hallway. We managed but it was pretty dicey. Thankfully the components aren’t super heavy. My husband and I love this bed, and we’re extremely happy with the quality. It was such a steal on sale as well, most other upholstered beds would have cost me 2-3x as much.
